Specific details — the car he fixed in your childhood driveway, the way he makes tea, the joke he repeats every year — do more work than abstractions.

Humor is welcome. Some of our best father-and-brother songs have a wry second verse that gets a laugh before the third verse lands the real line.

The Reveal

A practical reveal: at breakfast, before he leaves for whatever is planned that day. A second option: at the family dinner, played from a phone or speaker after the first round of food. A quieter option: sent only to him, via the private listening link, on the morning of the 23rd — read once in private, then shared with the family at his choosing.
